Ever since the Big Bang burst onto the scene in 2005, Hublot has built its reputation by doing things differently. Gold with rubber? Bold skeleton dials? Brightly coloured ceramic? While traditional Swiss watchmaking often looked to the past, Hublot was busy experimenting with new materials, fresh ideas and designs that refused to blend into the crowd. Whether you loved the approach or questioned it, the Big Bang became impossible to ignore—and that’s exactly what turned it into one of the most recognizable luxury sports watches of the last two decades.

Now, as the collection celebrates its 20th anniversary, Hublot isn’t rewriting the rulebook—it’s refining one of its biggest success stories. The new Big Bang Reloaded takes everything enthusiasts already know about the collection and gives it a sharper edge, from a redesigned case and more technical dial to a stronger focus on the in-house UNICO chronograph. Rather than chasing a completely new identity, Hublot has chosen to evolve the watch that helped define the brand in the first place.

With five new Big Bang Reloaded models—Titanium Ceramic, All Black, Blue Ceramic, Dark Green Ceramic and Magic Gold—each telling the same story through a different material. Together, they celebrate the milestones that shaped Hublot while showing exactly where the Big Bang is headed next. And if first impressions are anything to go by, this is one reload that’s worth paying attention to.

Let’s take a closer look at all five models.

The Five New Big Bang Reloaded Models

The Big Bang Reloaded collection represents the next evolution of one of Hublot’s most recognizable creations. Ever since the original Big Bang debuted in 2005, the collection has become a symbol of the brand’s philosophy of combining innovative materials with bold, contemporary design.

Twenty years later, Hublot has refined that formula once again, introducing a collection that stays true to the Big Bang’s unmistakable identity while giving it a sharper, more technical character built from the inside out.

Rather than introducing five completely different watches, Hublot has developed a family of timepieces that share the same 44 mm architecture, openworked dial and unmistakable Big Bang DNA. Each model has been reworked to place greater emphasis on the movement beneath the dial, while a redesigned two-part bezel, stronger colour contrasts and a more layered construction give the collection a noticeably bolder appearance. It’s an evolution rather than a revolution, and one that feels faithful to what has made the Big Bang successful for the past two decades.

The biggest difference between the five models lies in the materials themselves. Buyers can choose from Titanium Ceramic, All Black, Blue Ceramic, Dark Green Ceramic and Magic Gold, with several of these materials celebrating important milestones in Hublot’s history. The All Black edition marks 20 years of Hublot’s famous “visibility through invisibility” concept, while Magic Gold celebrates 15 years of the world’s first scratch-resistant 18K gold. Together with the blue and dark green ceramic models, the collection showcases just how much Hublot has invested in developing its own material expertise over the years.

Although each reference has its own personality, they all follow the same philosophy of blending contemporary materials, architectural design and everyday versatility. Every watch comes fitted with two interchangeable straps—a fabric-inspired rubber strap with H-pattern stitching and a classic black rubber strap—both paired with Hublot’s patented

One Click system, allowing owners to switch between a sportier or more understated look in seconds. It’s a thoughtful finishing touch that reinforces the Big Bang Reloaded as a modern luxury sports watch designed to adapt just as easily as the people wearing it.

Inside the HUB1280 UNICO Calibre

The HUB1280 UNICO Manufacture self-winding flyback chronograph is the driving force behind every Big Bang Reloaded model. First introduced in 2010, just one year after Hublot established its Manufacture in Nyon, the in-house calibre marked the brand’s move toward complete mechanical independence.

Over the years, the movement has continued to evolve through refined architecture, improved performance and a fully integrated chronograph design. For the Big Bang Reloaded, Hublot has re-engineered the watch from the inside out, making the UNICO more visible than ever with its dial-side column wheel, dual oscillating clutch and redesigned chronograph display taking centre stage.

As Hublot CEO Julien Tornare explains — “The Big Bang Reloaded is a masterful statement. It embodies Hublot’s growth as a Manufacture and the evolution of the Big Bang collection and the Unico caliber over time. Hublot introduced the Big Bang Original featuring the Unico caliber earlier this year, inspired by the 2005 original model with a closed dial, yet reimagined and powered from now on by the Unico manufacture caliber. That was a turning point: our in-house caliber now drives the entire Big Bang collection. The next step for us was clear: to re-engineer the openworked Big Bang Unico itself, now more expressive and rebuilt from the inside out.”

Beyond its striking appearance, the HUB1280 UNICO remains one of the most technically advanced integrated chronograph movements in Hublot’s portfolio. It incorporates five patented innovations, including a backlash-compensating oscillating clutch, an anti-shaking chronograph hand system, a zero-friction ratchet wheel blocker, a fine-adjustment system for regulating accuracy and a highly shock-resistant time-setting mechanism. Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph), the movement delivers an impressive 72-hour power reserve and is protected by 100 metres (10 ATM) of water resistance, making the Big Bang Reloaded every bit as capable mechanically as it is visually impressive.

The All Black, Blue Ceramic and Dark Green Ceramic editions are each priced at USD $25,200, while the flagship Magic Gold model tops the collection at USD $44,500 thanks to Hublot’s proprietary scratch-resistant 18K Magic Gold, a material developed after four years of research and produced entirely in-house, and including a 5+5 Warranty program with every Big Bang Reloaded bought from 1 January 2026, providing up to 10 years of protection from the manufacturer.
