At some point, a television stops feeling like something you put in the living room and starts becoming the living room. Samsung‘s new 130-inch Micro RGB TV is getting dangerously close to that territory.
Unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the new Samsung R95H is the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV and the largest Micro RGB display Samsung has produced to date. But despite that enormous screen being the obvious attention-grabber, Samsung has done something rather clever with the design — instead of making the TV look even heavier and more imposing, it has made the screen appear as though it’s floating inside its frame.

Behind all those numbers is Samsung’s Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, which works alongside Micro RGB Colour Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro to analyze what you’re watching and adjust the picture accordingly. The system can boost duller colours while refining contrast across bright and dark scenes, which becomes especially important when you’re stretching an image across a screen measuring a ridiculous 130 inches.
Colour is another big part of the R95H’s pitch. Samsung’s Micro RGB Precision Colour 100 delivers 100% coverage of the BT.2020 wide colour gamut, with Germany’s VDE independently certifying the display for precise Micro RGB colour reproduction. Samsung has also added its Glare Free technology to help cut down reflections and preserve colour and contrast when you’re watching in a brighter room — something you’d definitely appreciate when the reflective surface in front of you is this enormous.
Samsung’s upgraded Vision AI Companion brings conversational search and recommendations to the R95H, along with features including AI Football Mode Pro, AI Sound Controller Pro, Live Translate, and Generative Wallpaper. It also offers access to Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, though Samsung notes that individual AI features may vary by region and model.
Samsung hasn’t announced pricing for the 130-inch R95H, and we’d be surprised if this thing landed anywhere close to ordinary premium-TV money. But practicality isn’t really what makes it interesting. At this size, the R95H is as much interior architecture as it is television, and the Timeless Frame makes sure those 130 inches don’t become a giant black rectangle dominating the room. If you’ve got the wall space — and presumably the bank balance to match — Samsung has built one hell of a way to watch a movie.
For 2026, Samsung is turning Micro RGB into a much bigger part of its premium TV lineup, rather than keeping the technology reserved for enormous showcase models. In the US, the flagship R95H is available in 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes, alongside the R85H family, while the gigantic 115-inch MR95F remains at the extreme end of the range. With Samsung expanding Micro RGB across screen sizes stretching from 55 to 115 inches, and the new 130-inch R95H sitting above them as the ultimate showpiece, it’s clear the company sees Micro RGB as a serious new premium TV category rather than a one-off experiment.
As for the monster 130-inch version, Samsung still hasn’t announced an official retail price in its launch material. That probably tells you everything you need to know about who this thing is aimed at. For some perspective, Samsung lists its 115-inch MR95F at US$29,999.99, while the 85-inch R95H starts at US$6,499.99 in the US. Whatever the 130-inch model eventually costs, it’s safe to expect it at the very sharp end of Samsung’s ultra-premium TV range.
But practicality isn’t really the point here. Samsung has taken a 130-inch television and tried to make it feel like part of the architecture rather than an enormous black rectangle dominating the room. Between the floating Timeless Frame, integrated sound and Micro RGB picture technology, the R95H is as much a statement piece as it is a TV. If you’ve got the wall space — and presumably the bank balance to match — this could be one spectacular way to watch a movie.

From April 14 to 20, 2026, Geneva will once again become the centre of the watch world as Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 takes over Palexpo. For one week, watchmakers, collectors, journalists and enthusiasts will come together to see the year’s biggest new watches unveiled — and, as always, there are bound to be a few surprises along the way.
Some of the biggest names in watchmaking are heading back to Geneva. What Is Watches & Wonders?
Watches and Wonders is one of the biggest events on the watchmaking calendar, bringing together the world’s leading watch brands, independent watchmakers, retailers, journalists, and collectors in Geneva. Held annually at Palexpo, it’s where many of the year’s most anticipated new watches make their first appearance, with more than 60 maisons gathering under one roof to show us what they’ve been working on.
Before Watches and Wonders became the event we know today, it was called the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, better known as SIHH. The show dates back to 1991 and has spent decades as a more exclusive gathering centred around fine watchmaking. The Watches and Wonders name eventually took over, with the first physical Geneva edition under the new identity taking place in 2022.
These days, it’s much more than brands putting watches behind glass and inviting the industry to take a look. New models are revealed, movements make their debut, and, if we’re lucky, a few completely unexpected watches appear out of nowhere. Visitors also get the chance to see new releases up close, while presentations and digital coverage let watch fans around the world follow what’s happening in Geneva.
More than three decades after it first began, Watches and Wonders has grown into a major week for the watch world. It’s where trends begin to take shape, familiar collections are given a new life, and the biggest watchmakers show us where they’re heading next. What to Expect at Watches & Wonders 2025
This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the biggest editions yet, with 60 exhibiting brands heading to Geneva for seven days of new watches, major launches and plenty of surprises. The show runs from April 1 to 7 at Palexpo, with the first few days focused on industry professionals, followed by public access from April 5 to 7. Some of the biggest names in watchmaking will be there, alongside a packed line-up of major maisons and independent watchmakers.
Beyond the new releases, visitors can expect brand experiences, guided tours and a closer look at the craft behind watchmaking, while the In the City programme will bring the celebrations into Geneva itself. But for us, it’s all about the watches — new Rolexes, unexpected complications, fresh colours and the releases nobody saw coming. Watches and Wonders 2025 will give us our first proper look at the watches set to dominate the rest of the year.
This year, Watches and Wonders is stepping into new territory, with the 2025 edition becoming the largest in the event’s history at the time. A total of 60 watch brands are heading to Geneva, up from 54 the year before, bringing even more of the watch industry under one roof. But it isn’t just about adding more names to the list. The show itself is growing, and the 2025 line-up gives us a pretty good idea of just how much Watches and Wonders has changed over the years.
There have also been some big changes behind the scenes. In June 2024, Chanel, Hermès and LVMH officially joined the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation Board alongside the founding members. Shortly after, Cartier President and CEO Cyrille Vigneron took over as chairman from Rolex CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour on July 1, 2024, with Dufour moving into the role of treasurer. It was a major shake-up for the organization and another sign that the event was entering a new chapter.
The 2025 edition also welcomes some fresh faces. BVLGARI makes its debut at the show, while independent names including Christiaan van der Klaauw, Genus, Kross Studio and MeisterSinger join the line-up. Armin Strom and HYT are also back, giving visitors plenty to explore beyond the familiar heavyweights. From household names to smaller independent watchmakers doing things their own way, this year’s list is one of the most varied we’ve seen at the event.

When Does Watches & Wonders 2025 Take Place?
Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 takes place from April 1 to 7 at Palexpo in Geneva, bringing some of the biggest names in watchmaking together for a full week of new releases and industry announcements. The show begins with four days reserved for retailers, journalists, and watch industry professionals before opening to the public on April 5, 6 and 7. General admission tickets for the public days went on sale from February 11, while the professional Salon remained invitation-only.
