Rossinavi’s latest yacht, Seawolf X, is redefining what’s possible in the world of superyachts. At 42.8 metres, this innovative all-aluminum catamaran platform symbolizes the future of yachting—one that seamlessly blends luxury, innovation, and sustainability in unprecedented ways. The yacht has been meticulously designed to address one of the industry’s most significant challenges: excessive fuel consumption. The results are revolutionary: Seawolf X achieves an impressive 75% reduction in fuel usage compared to traditional monohulls, all while maintaining style and performance.

The project began with an ambitious goal set by Federico Rossi, the COO of Rossinavi: to reduce fuel consumption by 50%. However, the final design exceeded expectations, resulting in a remarkably efficient yacht capable of undertaking transatlantic voyages with only 15,000 litres of fuel—four times less than the typical amount required by yachts of similar size.

This significant decrease in fuel consumption is largely due to Seawolf X’s innovative catamaran design. The twin-hull structure removes the need for stabilizers, which often constitute a significant energy drain on yachts of this size, leading to a notable reduction in electric consumption as well.

Seawolf X also boasts 150 square meters of solar panels, allowing the yacht to harness renewable energy while cruising. In a truly innovative move, the yacht’s energy system can store power in batteries, which could potentially be used to “give back” to the shore while docked, supplying energy to homes or other structures. This feature highlights the yacht’s commitment to sustainability, setting a new standard for eco-conscious luxury.

The yacht’s design, created by renowned designer Fulvio de Simoni, merges sleek, futuristic lines with high-performance elements inspired by the realm of supercars. The sharp angles and bold shapes, including a striking bowsprit reminiscent of a Formula One car’s front wing, impart a sense of speed and sophistication to Seawolf X. The seamless transition between the hull and superstructure produces a streamlined silhouette that boosts the yacht’s aerodynamics and visual appeal.

One of the most remarkable features of Seawolf X is its dynamic outdoor spaces. The yacht boasts a recessed lounge at the bow, hidden beneath a flat disc that rises electronically to reveal a sophisticated seating area. Complete with sofas, coffee tables, and a spa pool, this versatile space transforms into a relaxed lounge or an open-air cinema at the push of a button—complete with a 100-inch projector screen.

The design also incorporates a second spa pool at the stern, an indulgence that is rare for yachts of this size. These innovative spaces exemplify Seawolf X’s ability to blend luxury with cutting-edge functionality.

Its fuel efficiency offers considerable advantages for those contemplating chartering the Seawolf X. With reduced fuel consumption, the Advanced Proportional Adjustment (APA) rate is only 20%, which is significantly lower than the standard 30-40% typically charged for yachts of this size. This positions the Seawolf X as not just a more sustainable option but also a more cost-effective choice for clients in search of a luxury yachting experience.

Another key aspect of the Seawolf X’s design is its intelligent technology. Rossinavi has integrated a new AI system that boosts fuel efficiency by predicting consumption and making real-time adjustments to the yacht’s systems. This technology also features automatic lighting and temperature adjustments based on cabin occupancy, ensuring that energy use is minimized at all times.

Inside, Seawolf X exemplifies sustainable luxury. Meyer Davis Studio, renowned for its work on high-end residences and hotels, has crafted a warm, inviting atmosphere in the yacht’s interior design. The use of natural materials such as buttery oak, rust-hued leather, and neutral soft furnishings creates a calming environment that reflects the yacht’s eco-conscious ethos. Focus is placed on comfort and functionality, providing ample spaces designed for both relaxation and entertainment.

The owner’s suite, located on the main deck, is exceptionally impressive. At 70 square metres, it ranks among the largest and most luxurious spaces on the yacht. The suite features a gym, a study area, a spacious en-suite bathroom, and a wardrobe, all made possible by the yacht’s ample beam of 13.7 metres. Natural light streams into the area, enhancing the sense of openness and tranquility.

Seawolf X’s dedication to art and craftsmanship is also evident in the bespoke design details throughout the yacht. One standout feature is the handmade light fixtures in the owner’s suite, created by ceramic artist Natalia Landowska. These intricate pieces, inspired by the natural world, exemplify how the yacht seamlessly integrates art and design. The use of recycled materials and locally sourced stone, raffia, and leather further reinforces Seawolf X’s commitment to sustainability in every aspect of its design.

The Seawolf X transcends mere luxury yachts; it embodies the potential future of yachting. The Seawolf X sets new benchmarks for the industry through exceptional design, cutting-edge technology, and a strong commitment to sustainability. Whether for personal ownership or chartering, this yacht delivers a unique experience in eco-friendly luxury, showcasing that one can indulge in the highest levels of style and comfort while prioritizing the planet’s well-being. Through the Seawolf X, Rossinavi illustrates that the future of super yachting is both thrilling and responsible, with this innovative vessel leading the way.

The New Balance 992 is making a grand return, and Joe Freshgoods is leading the charge with his latest collaboration. After emerging through leaked eBay listings, the designer has officially previewed the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 992 “Aged Well,” celebrating his five-year partnership with the brand.

Featuring a vibrant blend of rust orange, dusty pink, sand brown, and taupe, the sneaker showcases a design that is both nostalgic and modern. The mesh and suede construction honours the 992’s heritage, offering durability and comfort, while signature elements such as the classic “N” logo and “JFG” branding on the tongue and heel reinforce its identity. Enhancing its exclusivity, the pair will arrive in a co-branded pink shoebox, a hallmark of Freshgoods.

Although the 992 silhouette hasn’t been a primary focus for New Balance in recent years, this collaboration suggests a potential revival of the model. The sneaker, long linked with Steve Jobs, achieved legendary status when the Apple co-founder famously wore it during the launch of the first iPhone. Its chunky yet clean aesthetic and Absorb SBS shock absorption technology have established it as a staple in the sneaker world, inspiring many brands to embrace the dad shoe trend.

Currently, the official release details are still under wraps, but the sneakers are anticipated to launch in the coming months via New Balance and select retailers. Given Freshgoods’ history of quickly selling out collaborations, it won’t be easy to secure a pair. Stay tuned for updates on the official reveal, retailer lists, and drop dates—because when these arrive, they won’t be available for long.
