Prada and Axiom Space have revealed the final design of the Artemis III spacesuit, a historic partnership aimed at equipping NASA astronauts for their first moon mission in over five decades.
Set for 2025, this landmark lunar mission—the first manned landing since Apollo 17—also signifies a groundbreaking collaboration between a commercial space systems provider and the esteemed fashion house of Miuccia Prada. Revealed at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan, the partnership focuses on Axiom’s Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU), a state-of-the-art spacesuit designed using NASA’s advanced mobility systems to facilitate unprecedented lunar surface exploration.

Prada adds a distinctive sense of innovation to the universe. Lorenzo Bertelli, the brand’s Group Marketing Director, notes that “I’m very proud of the result… which is just the first step in a long-term collaboration with Axiom Space. We’ve shared our expertise on high-performance materials, features, and sewing techniques, and we learned a lot.”
Although many of us may not be moonwalking anytime soon, the performance-driven philosophy of Prada is still accessible—simply dive into the newest offerings from its Linea Rossa collection to experience a hint of space-age innovation right here on Earth.
