Tulsa King season 3 is officially coming to Paramount+ on September 21 , 2025. After the dramatic cliffhanger at the end of season two, fans have been waiting to see what next for Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi. Thanks to a new trailer and several exciting updates from Paramount, we finally have a better sense of what is in store.

If you’re new to the show, Tulsa King follows Dwight, a New York mobster sent to Oklahoma as part of a retirement plan that doesn’t go as planned. Instead of staying quiet, he begins building a new crime empire in Tulsa, turning his punishment into an opportunity to come back stronger. Of course, he makes many enemies along the way.

Tulsa King isn’t just popular on Paramount+; it’s leading the platform. The season 2 numbers are impressive. The show reached 21.1 million viewers worldwide and got 159 million streams, nearly 900% more than season one. That’s a huge increase. One thing is clear: season 3 will be even bigger, louder, and bolder.

So, what’s next for Dwight and his empire? Let’s take a closer look. Here’s what we know about Tulsa King season 3.

‘Tulsa King’ Season 3 official Trailer

Dwight Manfredi has never had it easy, and season 3 looks like it is putting him in even tougher situations. He’s gone head-to-head with biker boss Caolan Waltrip, survived the tricks of the smooth operator Cal Thresher, and faced mobster Bill Bevilaqua without backing down. His newest problem now comes from wearing custom suits and old money: the Dunmire family. This family doesn’t just bend the rules; they rewrite them. Robert Patrick (yep, the T-1000 himself) plays the head of the family, Jeremiah Dunmire, while Beau Knapp plays his son Cole, who is trying to prove himself. For Dwight, this isn’t just business, it’s a declaration of war.

But just when you think that’s the whole story, ‘Tulsa King’ surprises us again. Samuel L. Jackson joins the cast as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a former prison friend of Dwight’s, now ordered by the Renzetti family to kill him. Of course, nothing ever goes as planned around Dwight, and Washington changes the plan. Instead of carrying out the hit, he decides to start his own business in New Orleans, setting up the highly anticipated spin-off, ‘NOLA King’, coming in early 2026.

This is what makes ‘Tulsa King’ interesting, because it isn’t just another mob show; it’s more of the surprising turns, the partnerships and the way these characters keep finding new ways to survive. With Stallone the backbone of the show, Patrick turning up the heat and Jackson bringing his signature energy, season 3 looks ready to deliver some of the wildest moments so far.

With such a talented cast behind it, ‘Tulsa King’ Season 3 looks ready to crank the tension up another level. The series has always worked best when personalities clash, tempers flare, and alliances shift without warning, and this season seems packed with exactly that kind of chaos. Between familiar favourites returning to Dwight’s corner and dangerous newcomers stepping into Tulsa, the battle for power is starting to feel bigger, riskier, and far more personal. Dwight may still be the man calling the shots, but the deeper his empire grows, the more people there are waiting for a chance to take a piece of it for themselves.

What’s Happened in ‘Tulsa King’ So Far?

Beware: Spoiler Alert!

Right from the start, Dwight “The General” Manfredi has tried to balance his old life in New York with his new one in Tulsa. Season one showed what happens when you send an experienced mobster away and expect him to disappear. Instead of stepping back, Dwight started building his own empire in Oklahoma and made enemies faster than friends.

Things got serious when Dwight found out his daughter, Tina, had been assaulted years ago by his old associate, Nico Bugliosi. Dwight did what he usually does—he killed Nico and sent a strong message to anyone who might threaten his family. He then went after biker boss Caolan Waltrip, took his money, and shot him, removing a big obstacle in Tulsa. But power comes at a cost, and Dwight faced his biggest betrayal from someone he trusted. Agent Stacey Beale, who seemed like an ally, turned on him to save her own career. Season one ended with Dwight in handcuffs, showing that loyalty in his world is never guaranteed.

Season two started with Dwight making a quick comeback. He posted bail and jumped right back into his business. Now, his goals were even bigger—he wanted to open a casino and grow his drug empire. But every move brings trouble, and with Cal Thresher showing up as a rival who preferred sabotage to open fights, Kansas City mobster Bill Bevilaqua was ready to use violence to keep Dwight under control. Meanwhile, Dwight’s old New York family was still in the background, proving that being sent away doesn’t make old grudges disappear.

By the end of the season, Dwight managed to turn the chaos to his advantage by reaching a truce with Bevilaqua, choosing business over bloodshed, and forcing Thresher out of the weed trade. Thresher might have walked away for now, but his story is not yet over, especially since he is confirmed for season 3. Dwight seemed to have secured his place in Tulsa, building an empire piece by piece, but that quiet peace won’t last for long.

Just when fans thought the season would end on a relatively stable note, the rug was pulled from under Dwight once again. Armed men kidnapped him straight out of bed and told him in no uncertain terms that he now worked for them. It was the ultimate cliffhanger, with fans desperate to know who was really behind it. The new trailer makes it clear that Dwight is about to clash with a powerful new enemy. All signs point to the Dunmire family pulling the strings.
