Swiss watchmaking combines with streetwear in a style that feels simple, clean, and easy to enjoy, as TAG Heuer launches its latest collaboration with Fragment Design (the design label of the “godfather of streetwear,” Hiroshi Fujiwara). The Carrera Chronograph x fragment Limited Edition is another impressive release, building on the success of the Carrera line, which has long been one of the brand’s most popular collections.

This is the third part of TAG Heuer’s ongoing partnership with Hiroshi Fujiwara, which started in 2018, and this latest version feels more polished than before. At first glance, the watch is simple, with a black-on-black dial and matching smaller dials, creating a look that feels modern, sharp, and easy to wear. elegant and more refined, and oh boy, we cant stop looking at it, and the more you do, you’ll appreciate the design.

What really makes this watch special is how it builds on the well-known Carrera “glassbox” chronograph design, using everything that worked well in recent models and shaping it with Fujiwara’s simple design style. The result is a watch that feels balanced and confident, priced at about USD $9,050, and one that shows how well TAG Heuer continues to combine tradition with a modern touch.

The Carrera Chronograph x fragment Limited Edition has a 39 mm steel case that feels comfortable on the wrist, with a mix of matte and shiny surfaces that catch the light gently. It’s a simple, balanced design that doesn’t overdo it but still stands out. The glassbox crystal, a key feature of the Carrera, sits atop the watch, giving it a slightly raised look while highlighting the dial and drawing your eye in.

The dial is where things get interesting. Finished in a deep black shade, it soaks up light instead of reflecting it, giving it a smooth, almost soft feel. Around it, a white curved ring adds contrast and breaks up the design, while the silver details on the dial and smaller dials bring everything together nicely. It’s a simple colour mix on paper, but in person, it feels much more carefully done.

Hiroshi Fujiwara’s influence shows up in the details, especially with the date window placed at 12 o’clock—something you don’t see every day on a Carrera. Instead of the usual numbers, certain dates are marked with the fragment’s lightning bolt symbol, a small touch that adds personality without detracting from the overall design. Flip the watch over, and you’ll find the same logo on the caseback, sitting alongside TAG Heuer’s classic engravings and the individual numbering for each limited piece.

The bracelet finishes the look with a seven-row “beads-of-rice” style, adding a touch of vintage charm to this modern watch. TAG Heuer has added a black coating to the center links, matching the dial and keeping the whole look consistent from case to bracelet. It’s comfortable, flexible, and fits the watch perfectly, completing a design that feels carefully planned from every angle.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x fragment Limited Edition Movement

The Carrera Chronograph x fragment Limited Edition is powered by the in-house TH20-00 movement, a modern update of TAG Heuer’s chronograph engine designed for both strong performance and daily dependability. It runs on its own and offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve, letting you go a few days without resetting it.

The movement includes a column wheel and vertical clutch, which ensure the stopwatch starts and stops smoothly without any sudden jumps. It also has a winding system that works in both directions, so it can build power from your wrist movements all day long to keep the watch running.

What makes this watch even more special is how Hiroshi Fujiwara adds his touch. The oscillating weight, shaped like TAG Heuer’s signature shield, has a darker, bold finish that matches the watch’s style. It’s a small detail, but it gives the movement some personality by mixing Swiss watchmaking skill with Fujiwara’s simple, street-style influence. This gives the Carrera a character inspired by Tokyo as much as by its racing heritage.
