Wireless headphones are easy to carry: fold them, place them in a case, and throw them into your bag. Dyson and PORTER, however, decided the OnTrac deserved something more purposeful, pairing the noise-cancelling headphones with a handcrafted shoulder bag designed specifically around them.

Created as part of Yoshida & Co.’s 90th-anniversary celebrations, the collaboration is limited to only 380 sets worldwide, each with an individually numbered piece from the OnTrac development process. Dyson engineered the sound, PORTER figured out where to put it, and collectors will probably ensure neither remains available for long.

The OnTrac headphones receive a PORTER-inspired colour palette led by a Prussian blue headband, khaki and cinnabar ear cushions and CNC-milled Black Nickel outer caps. Those caps are machined to extremely fine tolerances and carry a laser-etched version of PORTER’s hotel-porter emblem, redrawn wearing a pair of OnTrac headphones. It is a small detail, but one that makes the collaboration feel more personal than simply printing both names across the ear cups.

The underlying audio hardware remains the same as the regular OnTrac, including custom 40mm neodymium drivers covering frequencies from 6Hz to 21kHz. Eight microphones monitor surrounding noise 384,000 times per second and reduce unwanted sound by up to 40dB, while batteries built into the headband provide up to 55 hours of listening with active noise cancellation switched on. That should be enough for several long-haul flights, even if the bag encourages you to spend most of the journey showing everyone what you bought.

PORTER’s shoulder bag is handcrafted in Japan’s Kanto region from water-repellent materials and assembled from 77 individual components. Its compact navy body carries the same khaki and orange accents seen on the headphones, while an external holder allows the OnTrac to remain secure and accessible without using up the bag’s internal storage. It is a typically PORTER solution: practical first, carefully detailed second and stylish enough that nobody needs to know how seriously you take headphone transportation.

Each set also arrives with a numbered Dyson OnTrac tech slice. Produced through a seven-stage hand-pouring process, the transparent resin piece contains materials, prototype fragments and sketches connected to the development of the headphones, then attaches to the bag through a steel aircraft-wire loop. With only 380 sets produced, that small block of engineering history gives every package its own number and provides collectors with something to display if the actual headphones are busy doing their proper job.

The presentation box contains the PORTER-finished Dyson OnTrac headphones, the custom shoulder bag and its matching dust bag, a slimline protective headphone case and a braided USB-C charging cable. The headphones arrive with a Prussian blue headband, CNC Black Nickel outer caps and separate khaki and cinnabar ear cushions, while the bag includes an external holder that keeps them secure without taking over its internal storage.

You also receive an individually numbered OnTrac tech slice, a hand-poured resin tag containing materials and components connected to the headphones’ development. Attached to a steel aircraft-wire loop, it can hang from the PORTER bag as a small collector’s piece—because when only 380 sets exist worldwide, even the keyring apparently needs its own engineering story.

The Dyson x PORTER OnTrac set launched on December 4, 2025, through selected Dyson and PORTER stores and online markets across the US, Europe and Asia. Production is limited to only 380 individually numbered sets worldwide, so availability will depend heavily on how much stock remains in each region.

The complete set is priced at USD $699.99, covering the limited-edition OnTrac headphones, handcrafted PORTER shoulder bag and accompanying accessories. It is a considerable premium over a standard pair of OnTrac headphones, although this is clearly being sold as a collectible collaboration rather than a simple colour update.

Most of us probably do not need a specially engineered shoulder bag for our headphones, but practicality is only part of the appeal here. With just 380 sets available, PORTER’s Japanese craftsmanship and enough custom components to make an ordinary headphone case look rather underdressed, this collaboration knows exactly which collectors it is trying to reach—and those buyers probably made peace with the price before reaching the checkout.
