Frederique Constant has taken one of the most detailed watches in its collection and given it more room to stand out. The redesigned Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, revealed at Watches and Wonders 2026, shrinks the case from 42mm to a more comfortable 40mm and removes the date sub-dial that previously broke up the world-time display, resulting in a cleaner design that preserves the watch’s global character.

The collection arrives in three blue-toned interpretations, beginning with a navy version featuring grey relief continents and a new five-link stainless-steel bracelet. A second model pairs fumé blue oceans with taupe continents, a white city disc and a navy alligator strap, while the most extravagant edition receives a pale-blue dial, 70 diamonds around the bezel and 12 diamond hour markers, with production limited to only 88 pieces.

The improvements continue beneath the dial, where the new Manufacture Calibre FC-719 increases the power reserve from 38 to 72 hours while retaining the convenience of controlling every function through a single crown. With slimmer proportions, a less crowded display, and nearly twice the running time, the Classic Worldtimer Manufacture has undergone far more than a simple colour update.

That said, let’s take a closer look at everything Frederique Constant has changed for 2026.

When Frederique Constant introduced the Classic Worldtimer Manufacture in 2012, it quickly became one of the Maison’s signature watches and a great example of its approach to making high-quality watches more affordable. Its mix of a world map, 24-hour ring, and city disc lets travellers keep track of every major time zone from their wrist, while the whole display could be controlled using just one crown without adding extra buttons to the case.

For 2026, Frederique Constant has updated that familiar design by making the polished stainless-steel case smaller, from 42mm to a more comfortable 40mm. The watch is 12.53mm thick and still water-resistant up to 50 metres, while a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the layered display and keeps it easy to read in different lighting.

The biggest change is removing the date counter that used to be at the bottom of the dial. Without it, the raised world map and two-tone day-and-night ring have more space, and the city disc around them can be seen clearly across all 24 time zones.

No matter the dial, markers, or strap chosen, all three versions have the same redesigned stainless-steel case, simple date-free display, and single-crown control. Each also has a sapphire crystal and a system that lets you easily change the bracelet or strap, with different colours, materials, and decorations giving each version its own style.

The redesigned Classic Worldtimer is powered by the new automatic Manufacture Calibre FC-719, the 35th movement developed in-house by Frederique Constant since the company was founded in 1988. It replaces the long-serving FC-718 that powered earlier versions of the Worldtimer and continues to control the hours, minutes, seconds and 24-time-zone display through the crown alone.

The biggest improvement is the power reserve, which has increased from 38 hours in the FC-718 to a far more practical 72 hours. Despite offering almost twice the autonomy, the FC-719 maintains the familiar frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses the same 26-jewel count, while the removal of the date function supports the cleaner display introduced across the new collection.

The movement remains visible through the transparent sapphire caseback, where its decorative finishing becomes part of the appeal. Perlage, circular Côtes de Genève and a satin-finished oscillating weight give the FC-719 the presentation expected of an in-house movement, while its three-day power reserve makes the Worldtimer considerably easier to live with between journeys.

The gradient-blue Classic Worldtimer Manufacture on an alligator strap is priced at USD $6,195, while the navy edition fitted with its five-link stainless-steel bracelet carries a retail price of USD $6,295. Those looking for the more extravagant diamond-set version will need USD $9,995, reflecting its 70-diamond bezel, 12 diamond hour markers and pair of interchangeable alligator straps.

All three variations are available through Frederique Constant boutiques, the brand’s official online store and authorized retailers, although stock will depend on the individual market. The two regular models join the continuing collection, whereas the diamond-set edition is limited and individually numbered to only 88 pieces, making it the most exclusive expression of the redesigned Worldtimer.
