FC Barcelona has officially unveiled its new away kit for the 2026–27 season, and this one carries a little more weight than your typical yearly shirt refresh. The Kobe x FC Barcelona 2026–27 collaboration continues the club’s partnership with Nike and the Kobe Bryant brand, introducing a new Kobe Bryant-inspired “Barça Mamba” Away Kit that brings the worlds of football and basketball together in tribute to Kobe’s legacy and the mentality that made him one of sport’s most enduring icons.

Built around the Mamba Mentality, the latest Barça Mamba chapter takes the connection between Kobe and FC Barcelona beyond a simple crossover. Kobe was famously a football fan, while Barça’s identity has long been shaped by ambition, confidence and an expectation to keep pushing forward. For 2026–27, those shared values are woven directly into the kit, creating something that feels as much like a tribute to Kobe Bryant as it does a new FC Barcelona away shirt.

A deep black base gradually transitions into a rich purple towards the bottom of the jersey, immediately calling back to the colours so closely associated with Kobe throughout his career. Gold detailing adds another layer to the design, while subtle snakeskin-inspired elements reference the Black Mamba identity without making the whole thing feel overly themed. It’s bold, but still clean enough to look and feel like a proper Barça kit.

The Kobe influence becomes even more obvious on the chest. Instead of Nike’s traditional Swoosh, the shirt carries the Kobe Sheath logo, positioned opposite an iridescent FC Barcelona crest. Barça is also offering Kobe-inspired typography for shirt personalization, bringing another basketball-influenced detail into the football world. The typeface draws on ideas closely associated with Bryant — precision, discipline, elegance and speed — rather than simply borrowing the visual language of one of his signature sneakers.

One of the best details, however, is hidden away. Inside the collar sits one of Bryant’s most memorable messages: “Leave the game better than you found it.” It’s a small addition that most people won’t even notice when the shirt is being worn, but it arguably says more about the collaboration than any logo could. Kobe’s legacy was never only about championships or individual performances; the Mamba Mentality became shorthand for constantly working, improving and pushing beyond whatever you thought your limit was.

That philosophy is also at the centre of Barça’s campaign for the collection. Players from across the club’s men’s and women’s teams feature in the launch, including Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Alejandro Balde, Claudia Pina and Ewa Pajor. The message is less about simply putting Kobe’s name alongside FC Barcelona and more about connecting two sporting identities built around the pursuit of excellence.

Of course, underneath all of the storytelling, this still has to function as a modern football kit. The player version incorporates Nike’s latest performance technology, including AeroSwift and Dri-FIT ADV, with a lightweight and breathable construction designed for competition. The black, purple and gold Mamba treatment also extends beyond the match shirt into a wider collection of apparel, giving the collaboration considerably more room than a one-off jersey.

And that’s probably why the whole thing works so well. Sports crossovers can sometimes feel like two famous names placed side by side and sent straight to the merchandise department. Kobe x FC Barcelona has a stronger connection. Bryant genuinely appreciated football and FC Barcelona, while the relentless pursuit of improvement represented by the Mamba Mentality fits surprisingly naturally alongside a club that has spent generations expecting excellence from its players.

The black-to-purple finish is dramatically different from Barça’s traditional Blaugrana identity, while the gold accents and Kobe detailing give it a look that could appeal well beyond Barcelona supporters. You don’t necessarily have to be a Barça fan — or even much of a football fan — to understand why a Kobe Bryant-inspired jersey might become desirable.

That crossover appeal could ultimately make the 2026–27 Barça Mamba Away Kit one of those shirts that becomes increasingly difficult to find once the season is over. Football shirts have become fashion pieces and collectibles in their own right, and combining one of the world’s biggest clubs with one of basketball’s most enduring names gives this one plenty going for it.

More importantly, though, the tribute doesn’t lose sight of the person behind the Mamba name. From the Sheath logo and snakeskin details to the message hidden inside the collar, Kobe Bryant’s influence runs throughout the shirt without completely overtaking FC Barcelona’s identity.

Mamba Mentality has made its way back to Barça for 2026–27 — and judging purely by the new away kit, it looks right at home.

Emirates’ New Bvlgari Amenity Kits Turn In-Flight Toiletries Into Take-Home Luxury Items

  • Emirates’ Spring/Summer collection highlights the 18th edition of its Bvlgari amenity kits, continuing a partnership of over 16 years.
  • First Class passengers receive 30ml Bvlgari Le Gemme bottles, skincare, and travel essentials.
  • Business Class kits include travel-sized fragrances, reusable bags, and essential toiletries for long-haul flights.
  • The new kits incorporate materials containing recycled content and will be gradually introduced on selected long-haul Emirates routes throughout 2026.

Flying First or Business Class comes with plenty of perks, but almost all of them are on loan. The lie-flat seat gets folded back up, the champagne disappears somewhere over the next time zone, and those noise-cancelling headphones are connected to the plane with enough wiring to discourage any souvenir hunting. The amenity kit is one of the few parts of the experience airlines actually expect you to slip into your carry-on.

Emirates is leaning into that small pleasure with its latest collection of Bvlgari amenity kits for First and Business Class passengers. This new Spring/Summer range marks the 18th edition created by the two brands, continuing a partnership that has lasted for more than 16 years. Refreshed colours, cabin-specific fragrances and materials containing recycled content are all part of the update, which will gradually appear across selected long-haul routes throughout the year.

An amenity kit is never going to be the main reason anyone pays for a premium seat, but Emirates knows that luxury travel is often defined by the smaller details. With polished designs, exclusive Bvlgari fragrances and enough everyday essentials to remain useful after landing, these kits feel less like complimentary in-flight toiletries and more like a travel accessory worth taking home.

What Comes Inside Emirates’ New Bvlgari Amenity Kits?

The short answer is that it depends on where you are seated. Emirates has created separate collections for First and Business Class, each with its own selection of bag designs, fragrances, skincare products and travel essentials. Let’s take a closer look at what passengers can expect in each cabin.

Emirates First Class Bvlgari Amenity Kits

First Class receives the more substantial of the two collections, with two bag designs for men and another two for women. The men’s versions are finished in chocolate-toned faux leather with deep burgundy lining and detailing, while the women’s kits use champagne-toned metallic faux leather with soft blush-pink interiors. The colours have also been selected to complement Emirates’ refurbished cabin interiors and the fragrance bottles packed inside.

The fragrances are where First Class pulls ahead. Women’s kits include an exclusive 30ml bottle of Bvlgari Le Gemme Sahare Eau de Parfum, built around ambergris and Taif rose. Men receive a 30ml bottle of Le Gemme Yasep Eau de Parfum, a warmer woody fragrance inspired by blood-red jasper, with sandalwood and musk at its centre.

Each fragrance is accompanied by a matching Bvlgari hydrating face and body emulsion and lip balm. Emirates also includes the usual long-haul necessities: a dental kit, cleansing towel, deodorant, tissues and a foldaway hairbrush. Women’s First Class kits add a Bvlgari-branded golden pocket mirror, which feels far more like a proper keepsake than something destined for the hotel bathroom drawer.

Those 30ml fragrances are not insignificant, either. Bvlgari currently lists the standard 125ml bottles of both Le Gemme Sahare and Le Gemme Yasep at USD $500. Calculated purely by volume, the fragrance inside each First Class kit represents roughly USD $120 before considering the bag, skincare products and everything else tucked inside. That does not give the exclusive travel bottle an official retail value, but it does make it a rather generous freebie.

Business Class turns down the bottle size without losing much of the presentation. Men receive a chocolate-brown fabric bag with a cool grey lining, while the women’s version comes in buttercream faux leather with soft pink accents. It is a calmer colour palette than First Class, but both designs still look polished enough to reuse after the flight.

The men’s kits feature Bvlgari Man Rain Essence Eau de Parfum, a fresh woody scent combining green tea, crystal musk and smoky guaiac wood. Women receive Omnia Crystalline Eau de Parfum, a lighter floral fragrance shaped around lotus, jasmine and sandalwood. Selected fragrances are presented in exclusive 5ml bottles created specifically for Emirates passengers.

The rest of the kit covers the practical essentials, including Bvlgari lip balm, face or body emulsion, a dental kit, deodorant, tissues and a foldaway hairbrush. Women’s Business Class kits also include a double-sided mirror. Based on Bvlgari’s current US prices, Omnia Crystalline is priced at USD $180, while Man Rain Essence comes at USD $135.

Emirates has also given some thought to what happens beyond the flight. Fabrics containing recycled content are used across both First and Business Class bags, while selected brushes, combs, mirror covers and other components incorporate recycled materials as well. Even the dental-kit packaging uses black kraft paper. It is a modest change in the context of a long-haul journey, but it makes sense for an amenity kit designed to remain useful after landing.

Why Emirates’ Bvlgari Amenity Kits Still Matter

There’s a reason amenity kits still matter in premium cabins. They are part toiletry bag, part souvenir and give you a sense that you are not sitting in Economy today. On Emirates, they also slot neatly into a much broader premium experience that can include lie-flat seating, airport lounge access, chauffeur-driven transfers, elevated dining and, on the A380, the airline’s famous onboard lounge. Unlike the seat or glass of champagne, however, the amenity kit is one of the few luxuries passengers are encouraged to take home.

Business Class passengers are no longer necessarily missing out on sleepwear, either. Emirates offers complimentary modal loungewear, slippers and a matching eye mask on selected long-haul services. The airline originally introduced the complete set on flights lasting nine hours or more, although current availability can vary depending on the route, flight duration, aircraft type and cabin configuration.

When a long-haul Business or First Class ticket can cost many thousands of dollars—and sometimes reach well into five figures—it makes sense that Emirates pays attention to even the smaller items. The amenity kit will never justify the fare by itself, but the reusable bag, Bvlgari fragrances and travel essentials all contribute to the sense that passengers are receiving something beyond a larger seat and a better meal.

As with most airline product rollouts, the exact kit you receive may depend on your cabin, route, travel date and aircraft. Emirates says the new collection will be introduced gradually across selected long-haul routes throughout 2026, so it may not appear on every premium flight immediately. Still, if one is waiting at your seat, it is another carefully considered detail designed to make the experience feel special—and one that remains useful long after landing.
